YOGA GETS PUNKY

He may have sung of a desire to be a dog, but Chic & Geek finds it difficult to envisage iconic punk maestro Iggy Pop posing as an upward-facing pooch.

Then again, the opposing philosophies of punk rock and yoga have never before been linked until now.

Local online label Yogurt Activeculture has launched a new range of attire (and cool looking guitar print yoga mats) aimed at hard-rocking yogis.

While this columnist views the collusion as a bit of a well, stretch, Yogurt's founder Morgwn Rimel offered this: 'It may seem like they are at odds, but if you think about it, punk rock is more than just music and style. It's an attitude-- a way of life and being, just like yoga.'

And I thought the only reason to embrace yoga was as a means of getting closer to devotee Christy Turlington.
